The activity involves supporting local organisations in their work for the social care and development of the country. It embodies the ESC and European principles because of the proximity with local non-profit organisations working in favour of local beneficiaries.
How have you identified the need for this activity? What are the societal challenges that you are planning to address?
The aim is to help and support local organisations in implementing and planning their projects, with the ultimate goal of social development of the country and its people.
What are the tasks that the volunteers will typically carry out? What will be their role and how will they be involved in the activities?
Volunteers carry out office tasks aimed at contributing to some of the project cycles' steps and provided their personal perspective on the challenges of the local context.
How will the volunteers benefit from taking part in the activity?
Volunteers are exposed to the local social challenges and issues, learning how to effectively address them and propose possible solutions. Moreover, they gain experience in working with different stakeholders in a non-profit organisation.
How will the activity benefit the target groups and/or the local comm-unity and the organisations involved?
Local organisations benefit from a different point of view on possible challenges and projects provided by the volunteers with different backgrounds. They also benefit from the outcomes of the contribution of the volunteers. Ultimately, local beneficiaries also benefit from the contribution of the volunteers through the local organisations.
